In autumn 2025, the Almaty Museum of Arts, founded by collector and philanthropist Nurlan Smagulov, opened in the heart of Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The museum is based on Nurlan Smagulov's personal collection, amassed over the past three decades, which includes over 700 works of Kazakh art and is one of the largest private collections of its kind.
The museum also features works by international artists: Richard Serra, Anselm Kiefer, Yayoi Kusama, Bill Viola, Yinka Shonibare, Jaume Plensa, Alicja Kwade, Fernand Léger.

Philanthropy, charity, and volunteering are an important part of Astana Group's internal and external policies.
